Quick Snacks

Jhatpat Samosa

Samosa is always a quick snack—but most people would rather buy it off shops or buy frozen ones, than make it freshly at home. You can change the trend and try this jhatpat samosa, with a novel cottage cheese and onion mixture, which you can prepare even on the busiest of days.

Makes 8 servings


8 samosa pattis

To Be Mixed Into A Filling

1 onion , chopped
1/2 capsicum , finely chopped
1/4 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste

Other Ingredients

oil for deep-frying

  1. Place each samosa patti on a dry surface.
  2. Put a teaspoonful of the filling in one corner of the samosa patti and roll into a triangle.
  3. Seal the edges using a little water.
  4. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Serve hot.
